Town Travel to Doncaster Without Leadbitter Fri 27th Apr 2012 12:54
Town travelled to Doncaster this afternoon for their final game of the season without former skipper Grant Leadbitter, who has decided not to remain at Portman Road after his contract is up at the end of the season. The Blues were already short of midfielders for their lunchtime clash with relegated Rovers (KO 12.30pm) with Luke Hyam injured, Lee Bowyer released and Lee Martin and Ryan Stevenson both having missed training due to injuries this week. Youngsters Byron Lawrence and Joe Whight have both made the trip.

The Football League has confirmed that it will adopt Financial Fair Play regulations in all three of its divisions next season. The League has outlined the sanctions that clubs not keeping to the rules will face, although these won't be enforced until 2013/14.

Two goals from Andy Keogh and one from former Blue Liam Trotter saw Millwall to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Town in Portman Road’s final game of the season. Keogh put the Lions ahead after three minutes, old boy Trotter added the second just after the hour mark, then, after Grant Leadbitter had had a penalty saved, Keogh netted the third late on.
